Andy is a qualified trainer and executive coach 

Andy has considerable experience in designing and delivering training courses for clients across the public and private sectors in Leadership, Strategic Management, Coaching, Policing, Investigative Skills, and Community Engagement. 

 

A former Senior Police Officer, Andy spent over thirty years’ working across a range of policing arenas.  He has considerable experience in managing critical incidents, spontaneous events, managing risk and reducing vulnerability. As a senior Detective he also has a long background in managing complex and serious crime, tackling organised criminality, and developing collaborative strategies to reduce crime. He worked at national and local levels in the development of Neighbourhood Policing, working with strategic partners and communities to prevent crime and build community resilience presenting at national conferences and on behalf of the College of Policing to international policing leaders. 

 

Andy holds an MBA and has considerable experience of leading transformational change and project management within policing, leading on several strategic change programmes and providing advice and consultancy to Police Services across the Country since his retirement. He is currently using this experience as a consultant, undertaking peer reviews of Police Services in England and Wales in-order to identify potential enhancements to service delivery.

 

Specialising in the development of thought provoking and engaging training, Andy has developed and delivered a wide range of training programmes to international clients from across the world, teaching a wide range of subjects that include Leadership, Strategic Management, Delivering Change, Coaching and Mentoring, Community Resilience, Problem Solving, Managing Risk and the reduction of crime. Working with Senior Leaders from over twenty different countries, Andy has delivered training programmes designed to challenge and inspire Senior Leaders through innovative approaches focused on enabling individuals to maximise their full potential. 

 

Andy’s extensive work, both in policing and subsequently as a consultant in community capacity building highlighted the importance of youth services in local communities. A qualified youth mentor Andy also works as a volunteer with young people who are at risk of exclusion from school in-order to develop their life skills and provide a positive pathway into adulthood.
